Favorite Brushes for Girls on a Budget!

Hello! I've got a new post today and its one sorta out of my zone but still kinda safe to play, i am always getting questions about how my foundation looks so good and natural, or how my eyeshadow is so pigmented and blended but still natural... alot of the times I'm like oh well i use this foundation with this moisturizer and this primer or oh well i use these eye shadows with this primer, but it goes so much further than that. Its important to have good products to go on your face but its also important the brush you use gives you an effect you want! So i dug a little deeper into my knowledge of make-up and into the drawers of the make up brushes i have and i realized what a better way to show others that what you apply your make up with is just as important as the products themselves! Now, i know that even for myself make up brushes that get the job done are just expensive and it sometimes feels like you have to take what you can get, beauty gurus on youtube have sedona lace brushes, mac brushes, real techniques, and so many other brushes that is just not affordable to us who are just getting by with what we have, BUT all those beauty gurus and girls like myself have all used the E.L.F. (eyelipsface) brushes, and they are wonderful brushes! So today's post i will walk you through the brushes i love and recommend, and how i use them! Now keep in mind that most of the brushes can come in a kit and you can often find the brushes at dollar tree as well.

Face Brushes:

Studio Kabuki Face Brush $6, this is a big, fluffy, short brush i like this brush for applying powder (Maybelline Dream Matte Powder). Its gonna give you the feeling with the powder that its light, it gets the job done without packing it on! It is gonna give you a light coverage which allows the light feeling on the skin!
Studio Stipple Brush $3, The layered bristles on this brush will give you a soft airbrushed look from your foundation (Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Foundation). What i normally do is apply the foundation to the back of my hand (or if its a pump onto the brush) and dot it all onto my face and go in with circular motions and occasional dabbing. This will really help give you a full coverage. However, after i apply my foundation with this i like to go in with a cosmetic wedge and just press the foundation into my skin, this way i know there are no streaks.
Studio Powder Brush $3, this brush is good for when you want the powder to give you extra coverage, its flat so it'll pack the powder on. I recommend using this in the areas you get the moist shiny or oily. I have two of these brushes and i have also used it for applying foundation, i use it in similarity to the stippling brush and it works well for that as well. It is defiantly a brush that is going to help give you a full coverage look. But remember the foundation and the powder you use is going to also be a factor in this.

Studio Small Stipple Brush $3, a smaller version of the stipple brush, i use it for blending in a liquid or cream highlight (elf shimmering facial whip) and i have also used it for blending in my concealer as well. It is going to give the airbrushed look as the normal size stippling brush but its going to be easier getting the smaller areas, and flawlessly blending out liquid or cream products to smaller areas.
Studio Blush Brush $3, this brush has a tailored design that really allows you to maneuver the brush easily and give a more precise placement of the blush. Its pretty self explanatory how to use, just find the apple of the cheek by smiling, and apply blush and sweep outward. i have two of these as well and i have used it for my bronzer as well and its really good if you just want to give yourself a glow because its such a light brush and doesn't pack the product in.
Studio Angled Blush Brush $3,this bush has a slanted shape which allows for a more precise application, for a sculpted look. The soft dense bristles contours facial features better than other brushes i have tried. I personally only use this brush to contour with bronzer because of the density, its perfect, and you can always build it up to the color you want, whether it be darker or lighter.
Essential Total Face Brush $1, i really like this brush to apply powder lightly, its lighter than the kabuki, so its great if i need to do a touch up or if I'm just going out to get a coffee.
Essential Foundation Brush $1, I really couldn't even begin telling anyone about this brush! This brush will give just about any foundation a pore less, flawless, full coverage look! i reach for this brush very very very often, almost every day. I will put foundation on the back of my hand and will dab the brush into it and dot it all over my face and use downward strokes to blend the foundation in this gives a really lovely finish to my skin and really helps cover the blemishes, scaring, and discoloration on my skin with no concealer. i really just love this brush and its stunning and really allows for nice finish. Now it can leave streaks so i always use a cosmetic wedge and press the foundation into the skin.

Eye Brushes:
Studio Eyeshadow "c" Brush $3, i feel like when it comes to brushes for the eyes, you can never ever have too many! I like using this brush for both the lid and the crease, its going to pack the eyeshadow on so its going to help give you that pigmentation. I lay it flat for the lid and the tip for the crease, its a really great brush and one i feel like should be in every girls collection.

Studio Contour Brush $3, this brush has domed shaped bristles that help to pick up a lot of color to deposit on the eye for extra definition, it really adds alot of depth close to the lash line, the outer "v" and in the corner of the eye. i have about three of these brushes just because its a great brush and its has so many uses, i have even used it to blend my shadows together and it came out great!

Essential Eyeshadow Brush $1, This is a much softer brush to lightly apply an eyeshadow rather than to pack it on. its good when your going for a soft natural look, again another essential brush to have in any collection.

Essential Blending Eye Brush $1, this is another brush that is essential in an eye collection, i use it to blend my shadows together and lighten the shadows up a bit. i have two of these brushes and i like to also use it to set the concealer or foundation under my eyes.

Essential Eyeliner Brush $1, This brush is one i use for packing on eyeshadow and i love it for that. i have never used a gel liner so i find no need to use it as an eyeliner brush. It is really nice to pack a shadow onto the lid or gracefully apply it to the crease precisely. it gives such a stunning look.

Essential Smudge Brush $1, this brush is short and stubby, and perfect for applying a shadow on the lash line, the outer "v", highlighting the brow bone and for the inner corner. It allows to pack in the color for the eye to let pigmentation shine through, and the short bristles give alot of control.

Essential Eye Crease Brush $1, tighter and shorter bristles than the blending eye brush, making it easy to apply color in the crease along with the dome shape. The bristles being tightly placed allow the brush to pick up the shadows making it easier for pigmented shadows.

Essential Smudge Eye Sponge $1, Normally i would never go for a sponge tip applicator, but i like this brush to use for highlighting. It picks up just enough product to give a nice settle look but still looks persicley placed for a flawless look.
