Hello everyone!
I hope you all have been doing well! I really felt like talking about a few things today and wanted to share with you all! I have not blogged very much this month at all due to several health reasons but I do have quite a few posts coming up in April, May, and June! I know this seems like a really long time away but those are going to be incredibly busy months for me because my prom is in April, I graduate in May, and I am going to Walt Disney World in June!
As for April, I will have a series called "Prepping for Prom" (creative, right?). This will include posts for skincare, makeup, hair, nails and being prepped! I will go ahead and tell you that I am going to prom with my best guy friend, who I have known for 4 years now and he is incredibly fun to be around. I do not have a boyfriend for several reasons and to be entirely truthful I am not interested in taking a boyfriend to prom... just a best friend!
In May, graduating is my biggest focus! But I also get the pleasure of dressing up for one really special night and a very huge milestone in my life! I think that when you feel your best you also look your best. For me, when I am wearing makeup I feel happy because makeup makes me happy. So, I shall be happy! I can't say this will be a 'series' but I do plan on having an OOTD (outfit of the day), skincare, make up, and hair!
In June, I am out of high school, officially an 'adult' and well... i'm going to Disney to be a kid! I am not 100% sure how I am going to do this but I want to do 7 OOTD's, 'hotel' tour, skin care, make up, and what I packed. I am sure you all knew most of that because back in August I went a little Disney crazy but I always like to have ideas of what to wear wherever I go.
I have been on a major want to shop lately! Not that I need much but... as girls, we love to shop. I have money burning holes in my pockets from Christmas so... shopping I shall do! I plan on going next Friday with my best girl friend, Hannah, to a store in a neighboring town. Because apparently I have been missing out! I'm on the lookout for a swimsuit and a black dress. I have also tossed around buying a new Michael Kors bag, but I may wait a little while on it because I have to get a prom dress. But I really need a swimsuit and a black dress, so that is what we are going for! Yay!
(the Michael Kors bag I mentioned above)
Speaking of a major need to shop lately and of all these upcoming events... I'd like to share with you a few of my finds upon searching for a new primer and highlighter (if you have any suggestions PLEASE leave a comment below). Usually I purchase full sized products but it takes me almost a year to go through it, if not longer, so I was curious as to what Ulta and Sephora had in their travel section. I stumbled upon two items that I really think would be good for the upcoming events for a fraction of the price and that makes me very happy! So I am going to share them with you!
- Benefit Cosmetics Big Time Primer Makeup Kit $12: This contains two travel-sized primers. Benefit's ever-so-famous Porefessional and Benefit's That Gal. I think that this may give me the look I am going for with filling in my pores to control the oils and blurring the dullness in my skin. I read a lot of mixed reviews on this but it's only $12 and you're trying 2 primers that you may like and can purchase a full size or another travel sized kit. I think this is a steal!
- Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray $14: This is another ever-so-famous product. I think a setting spray works wonders for your makeup and they have several versions of this in a travel size. For big events, I think its a good deal. Plus a bottle of this could last me a year, if not two!
