Disney Beauty and Skincare!

Hello Everyone, as if it wasn't possible to realize, I have been crazily obsessed with Disney (because I am hoping to go in the Spring of 2014) and I decided why not let people know about the Disney products I drool over on a daily basis! Keep in mind I am a beauty junkie, and I love spa items as well, so SHALL WE BEGIN...?

I hope this post was informative for you guys and I hope to be back soon with more Disney related posts. I would also like to add that I am a senior this year and school will be starting for me this following Monday, so I post when I can I really have no schedule and I do wish I did but Tuesdays and Thursdays I have band practice, Wednesdays and Sundays I have church, Fridays I have football games, and on Saturdays I have competitions, so the only day I really have to work on blogs is on Mondays. I do try to do a few blogs at a time so I can post every few days, but it doesn't always work out. I am planning to do a few changes to my page so it is easier to navigate, and adding a few fun things for you guys to check out for the months and all. Xoxo, Kayla!

Wet 'N' Wild Eyeshadows

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are having a nice week, i am here to do a review of some new (to me) eye shadows that i purchased last week. What is this eyeshadow I'm speaking of? Wet 'n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trios! I am constantly watching beauty gurus from YouTube, and alot of them mention these eye shadows so i finally decided that if they were as amazing as everyone says they are, i should probably have them in my collection!

I can not even begin to tell you how impressed i am with these shadows, and i do have Urban Decay eye shadows. The price ($2.99) is amazing and the quality is great! I would honestly purchase more of these if there were more natural colors (because i do not wear color- EVER!). These are very smooth and so pigmented not to mention long lasting (these do last about 6 hours on its own), and i do find them to be a product i keep reaching for in my collection. I picked up 3 trios from allcosmeticswholesale.com, Silent Treatment, Sweet as Candy, and Walking on Eggshells. And there are so many dupes!

Silent Treatment

This is a neutral trio, but it is the DARKEST neutral i have, and i really do like it alot! The colors in this trio are cool-toned however the peach brow bone/highlight shadow does add a little warmth. The crease shade is dark brown with a gold glitter and the eyelid is a mauvy silvered brown shade, both very pretty and very complexed-but i love them! Now for the dupes...

  • Brow bone/highlight shade and MAC's Jest

  • Crease shade and MAC's Smut

  • Eyelid shade and MAC's Satin Taupe

Walking on Eggshells

This is a very natural trio, alot like Covergirl Shimmering Sands trio (another trio that is a favorite of mine). I probably use this the most of the 3, and i absolutely adore it. The brow bone/highlight color is a creamy shade, the crease color is a soft brown golden shade, and the lid is a pinky champagne. Now for the dupes...

  • Brow bone/highlight shade and Urban Decay Virgin

  • Crease shade and Urban Decay Buck

  • Eyelid Shade and Urban Decay Sin

Sweet as Candy

Is it just me or does this trio remind anyone else of Neapolitan ice cream? All of these eye shadows have a metallic sheen to them even though the shades are all completely different! The brow bone/highlight shade is a warm, yet bright white shade, the crease shade is a medium chocolate brown shade, and the lid shade is a pale frosty berry toned pink shade. Now for the dupes...

  • Brow bone/highlight shade and MAC's Shroom

  • Crease shade and MAC's Satin Taupe

  • Eyelid shade and MAC's Pink Venus and MAC's Sweet Lust

I hope you all enjoyed this post and i hope it was informative for you all. Xoxo, Kayla

Sally Hansen Nail Polish Review

Hello everyone! I am pretty excited for this review, I know i say I'm excited for every review but let's face it... I love reading reviews and i love expressing my opinions on products! Today i am reviewing a nail polish called Coral Reef from Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Nail Polish, and I'm no expert on nails, i barely buy nail polish, and i am usually unimpressed with nail polishes. This was an exception because i love the color but the formulation is wonderful. I used this without a base or a top coat simply because i don't find it necessary for this polish.
  • The first coat was very opaque and dried really fast
  • The second coat wasn't necessary but it basically covered the areas i missed while doing the first coat. And again dried really fast!

Day 4 of the polish: I do have a tiny bit of chipping, nothing crazy. I have done the dishes, played with my puppies, gave them bathes, helped work on cars, cleaned, cooked, pretty much anything you can imagine and the minimum chipping i have is really impressive!

Overall, the color is gorgeous, its long lasting, dries fast, and is opaque... i give this a A+ and i can not wait to purchase some more to try out and hopefully fall in love with!

Disney Trip Clothing!

Hello Everyone!

Earlier today I was discussing a trip with my dad, I had mentioned months ago about my school's senior trip. I had also told him I wasn't interested in going where they had chosen for the trip and I would much rather go to Walt Disney World with the family instead. I have been to Disney about four times that I can remember, and I absolutely love it. It is much more enjoyable than any amusement park, beach, shopping spree, or any other thing in the world and I always look forward to going again! So when I go to Disney I really like to plan my outfits ahead of time and I often will bring about 7 outfits for the park, 2 "going out" outfits, and of course pajamas and a swimsuit just in case. We are planning on going in the Spring of 2014, and living in Alabama is hot enough, Florida is much hotter (no worries, I will make other post about trips and what to bring) so I will be dressing comfortably and appropriately for the weather in Florida!

Day 1: Day at Magic Kingdom!

Day 2: Day at Magic Kingdom

Day 3: Day at Epcot

Day 4: Day at Animal Kingdom

Day 5: Day at Hollywood Studios

Day 6: Extra Outfit

Day 7: Extra Outfit

(All shirts and shorts can be bought in store from Walmart shorts can be bought online)

Okay, so yes... I know that almost all of the shirts are "men's" but men t-shirts are often unisex and I wear a lot of t-shirts from the men's department that are solid colors because I'm over the tight shirt trend from 5 years ago :) I really like the neon pink, neon yellow, Carolina blue, bright purple, lime green and white shades for the summer months and spring months because they reflect the light (so you don't get as hot) rather than absorbing the light to make you much hotter (and much sweatier!) and lets not forget how perfect the colors are for the seasons and the occasions! Now another idea that I often pull off well is buying a pack of white t-shirts from Walmart (usually 2 packs of 5) and wear a pretty camisole underneath for a little extra color and added look! Not to mention you could put little Disney designs on them to make them look even cuter!

(All pictures above belong to companies/designers/families)

As for the shorts I love the Danskin Now brand from Walmart I find them to be extremely comfortable and for the price you really can't beat it, I don't have to worry so much if I loose a pair while packing and unpacking or anything else because I'm not out much money, plus they are seriously cute! You can match t-shirts, or camisoles to the shorts or even bring just a few shorts and rewash them as you need or as you'd like!

Of course, you might also like to add a few outfits for going out after hours. I typically would bring 2 pairs of jeans or capris and 2 nice tops...

And obviously undergarments and PJ's! Be on the lookout for many other Disney vacation posts as well as other Disney Trip Clothing posts (because lets face it between now and then my mind will change, and the actual clothes I may bring will be entirely different from even that!)-XOXO, Kayla!

July Update!

Hello everyone! I hope you have all been having a wonderful summer! Today I just felt like doing a random post and just kinda talk :) I am very excited for the rest of this week because I am hoping to go on a vacation much needed! Today I have been listening to non-stop music since I have been home, just trying to ease my mind (I have had quite a bit up there lately!). I think a lot of people get the feeling that by watching a YouTube video or even just reading a blog that a person's life is perfect, like always happy and upbeat, however its really not the case at all. I know that I haven't been posting as  frequently as I had been for months, but I have enjoyed not being bothered with internet or anything electronic (crazy, right?). Viewers and readers a lot of times don't understand why the person hasn't uploaded or posted anything and I honestly used to think about it all the time, but in the past month i've really realized a lot and I've needed a break from EVERYTHING! I feel like there are days I forget to breathe and days I feel like the world is crashing down upon me because nothings right and everything is a mess, I usually don't have big depression problems but this month just hasn't been my month at all! In so many ways i'm ready to just walk away from my personal problems and let them all go and not care anymore but its quite impossible when all your problems are all around you and they mean something. So as my readers, you all have every reason to know that I am going threw a lot and much more now that I ever thought I may have ever had. I also feel I should tell you all that when my vacation does come I don't plan on any technology around me at all because I really just need a break from the world! I really enjoy blogging about make up, I really enjoy colorguard, I enjoy going to church and being with my church family, I enjoy a lot but I really do need a breather and alone time with myself and God. I do hope you all understand- Xoxo, Kayla

Miliani Reviews!

Hey guys! In a recent haul i mentioned i got 3 Milani products: a lipstick, a eye primer, and a mascara! I won a contest for the eye products and i purchased the lip product at Dollar Tree. I have tested the products for about a week now and i feel like i have a good feel of the quality of the product, some i am impressed with and others i really could do without. However, i do look forward to purchasing some other products to try out. So with no further due, lets begin...

Milani Eye Primer: I am so impressed with this! I have Urban Decay Primer Potion, NYX Eyeshadow Base, and Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer and i do not like any of them. So when i received this i did not have high hopes but I'm really excited that i actually own a great eyeshadow primer now! The color of the product is the same as Urban Decay Primer Potion but the squeeze-tube dispenses enough product that you don't have too much product, i also like that i only have to wait about 30 seconds for the product to be prepped for eyeshadow. It really looks flawless under the eye shadows, it lengthens the wear of the product, and it makes the colors more vibrant. This is defiantly a holy grail worthy product!

Milani Runway Lashes: I do like this product, it isn't a holy grail product, but it is good. It is a very wet formulation and the brushes are soft bristles, i personally prefer a little less of a wet formula and rubber bristles. Now Milani says: "The classic shaped, soft bristle brush gives instant volume, length & curl. The formula is long-lasting, smear-proof and does not clump. Paraben-free." Now to me this product on its own is kinda lengthening but i do feel like to achieve the curl and the volume i do have to use my NYC eyelash curler but overall it is a good mascara.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Use an eyelash curler before and after applying the mascara
  • Let the mascara dry a bit before adding a coat and before curling the lashes again
  • You may want to use a lash card or a piece of paper to keep the mascara from getting on the lid
  • Use a clean rubber bristled brush to separate the lashes and lengthen them as well

Milani Color Perfect Lipstick: I purchased the color Frosted Pink, Milani says: "A creamy-smooth, full-coverage, lustrous lip color that makes lips look and feel magnificent! The unique contour tip perfects lip shape with a more precise application." I was not impressed with this at all, i absolutely hated it. First off, this claims to be full coverage- i get no color pay off at all! I am not entirely sure if its my lip color or the product itself. The swatch shows up on my hand but on my lips its nothing! I was so sad with this because i have heard incredible things about Milani lipsticks and this just didn't show up. Needless to say, i probably will not be purchasing anymore Milani lipsticks.

Palideo Eyeshadow Review

Hello everyone! I am here today wih yet another review... today im going to be talking about Palideo Herbal Eyeshadow in Nude Sparkle. Now i think this is a discontinued product because i haven't seen the product anywhere other than allcosmeticswholesale.com, which has a decent selection of shades.

(left side: no primer/right side: with primer)

This shade deffinatly needs a pimer. On the lid without the primer the shade isnt as bright and pigmented or as shimmery as i would exspect. With a primer i think the shadow is very nice it deffinatly meets my exspectations with pigmentations, shimmer, and brightness. i think the shade is versitle, it can deffinatly be used on the lid or as a highlight.

(primer is on the left; no primer on the right)
I think this is a nice eyeshadow but i dont think it is a must have in a collection. This retails for $8.00 and i purchased this for about $2.00. I think there are much nicer eyeshadows for the retail value, but i don't completely hate the product.
