Blogging withdraws!

Hello everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend! I was having blog withdraws so I decided to do a post on just me and also explain to you all why I haven't been posting frequently, which I will begin with. I have been blogging just not posting because I am trying to build up my blogs to post for when band camp starts and everything (which is going to start July 22nd), so right now I have 6 waiting to be posted and im hoping to have a few more after this weekend, however until camp starts I probably will not be having any other post coming up, defiantly some drafts but no post. I do plan on at least one other makeup look and a haul, but I am not sure on the rest of the posts I will be having but I assure you I will be blogging and posting soon!

So on to the me part, this is honestly just going to be a rant because like I said I am having withdraws! I get a lot of questions about what my favorite season is, I love Autumn! My birthday is in October and needless to say I love pumpkins, I also love the weather oddly enough, its not too hot and not too cold where I live its kinda just perfect. The nights are cool and the days are fairly warm, there is rain, because of the hurricanes and I love it because it defiantly relaxes me  and helps me go off to sleep.

I also get a lot of questions about what I like aside from beauty, that question is rather easy and self-explained if you ever walk into my room. I love candles, they are so relaxing to watch and they smell amazing. I have candles from pretty much everywhere, local boutiques, dollar stores, bath and body works, candles I've made, and from many other places. Once I do eventually have a place of my own and do get married I would love to have candles for every room and for every season. Autumn would defiantly have pumpkin in the name with an exception of a few (Cinnamon Pumpkin, Pumpkin Cupcake, Pumpkin Caramel Latte, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Leaves), Winter would be a lot of Christmas scents, because I just love the Holidays (Candles by Victoria: Christmas Apple Cider Snap, Christmas Eve, Cookies For Santa, Eggnog, Holiday Homebrew , Holiday Wassail, Pumpkin Eggnog, Peppermint Bark, Sweet Snow), Spring and Summer scents are pretty much the same because I love fruity scents (Like: Watermelon Lemonade, Aloha Waikiki, Island Colada, Candied Apple, Golden Sands). I really like Perfumes as well, I love colorguard, cooking, and now blogging! Those are a few things that I really do like a lot, lately I have been liking fashion a bit more but my fashion choices are by no means today's look im still stuck in the '90's I guess!

Natural Eye Look

Hey everyone! I went out to lunch with my dad, ran a few erans and tried out a few new products (that i will have a review on soon)! This is a really natural look, very simple- but pretty. I just purchased 3 wet 'n' wild eyeshadow trios (i am late on the band wagon) and thought i would show the look i did using a few of the other new products i purchased from allcosmeticswholesale.com. Again very natural!
Face

  • My face was looking really good this morning (due to a certain product i just reviewed-Noxzema), so i only used a moisturizer- and because it is summer and it's incredibly hot in Alabama. This was in my June favorites and continues to be a favorite this month as well- Clean & Clear Acne Control Moisturizer.

Eyes
  • Milani Eyeshadow Primer (Not Pictured)
  • Wet 'n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells: I did this the way the product says to with the pinky-champagne color on the lid (applied with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Brush), the brown shade in the crease (applied with ELF Blending Brush), and the cream shade on the lid (applied with ELF Blending Brush). I blended the shadows nicely together with enough demintion to see the 3 shadows
  • Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Black was used in the tightline

  • The Color Workshop Liquid Eyeliner in Black

  • Milani Runway Eyes Mascara- a base coat after curling with The Color Workshop Eyelash Curler
  • Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara- a second coat because the Milani Mascara wasn't getting it for me
  • Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara- i needed extra length
    Lips

    • Mary-Kate & Ashley Juicy Shine Lipgloss in Cool Mint

    Noxzema Skincare Review

Hey everyone! Today is kinda a lazy day for me i have been up to absolutely nothing but working to set up a few new blog post because i will be really busy these next few weeks from about July 22nd until August 19th with band camp, in case you didn't know i am captain of my schools colorguard and i am pretty excited for the season this year! Now i decided to review a product that everyone knows about and has used I'm sure, but has forgotten- I know i did. I hauled this recently because my face has been awful lately and I'm positive its only going to get worse through band camp but i know i can always rely on Noxzema to deep clean my face- getting rid of dirt, oil, and makeup! "The refreshing, deep cleanser that started it all! The Original Deep Cleansing Cream reaches deep down to the pores to remove dirt, oil and makeup. It refreshes with that classic Noxzema tingle and conditions as it cleans, so your skin feels noticeably softer and smoother."-Noxzema.

My skin is Combo-Dry my t-zone isn't incredibly oily but it isn't dry like most of my face is. My face was really oily before about November but because i use alot of acne products that contain Saliclyic Acid my face has become pretty much dry. I am still acne prone some of it from stress, hormones, or dirt and oil itself. Noxzema hasn't dried out my skin its actually put moisture back into my skin where it is needed. However, when i switched from using the skin care i was using, my face actually broke out really bad but cleared up about a week later. Now this isnt to say that my face is acne free because its not i still do get a little bumps here and there but they are minor white heads. I am over all impressed with this, i don't have any cons to this other than it doesn't have a acne fighting ingredient but it isn't portrayed as a acne fighting product so its a personal preference then again my face might not need the salesgirl acid anymore and its only making my face worse. I love that the price is so incredibly cheap and i like the smoothness and softness of my skin after ive used it. It does defiantly tingle as it cleans the face, i love that (it makes me think the product is actually working)! So do i recommend this? Yes. Below i will list a few comments other people have said about the product (both good and bad-try!)...

    • "I have been using Noxema since I'm 10 years old. Every soap I used would make my skin dry and cracked. When I discovered Noxema it was a blessing for my face. I'm 70 years old and my skin is as smooth as a baby. I only have small wrinkles at the corner of my eyes. I credit Noxema for the beautiful condition of my skin."-patsy1941

    • "I have been using Noxzema since I was a teen (over 20 years ago) and I have always received compliments on my skin. I use it for cleansing, blemish control, and for soothing my skin after shaving or sunburns. People always ask me what I use for my skin. Noxzema is the only thing I cleanse with and my other products are ones I produce for my skin. I ONLY TRUST NOXZEMA to wash my face. If I don't have it, I wash with water because my skin is so sensitive. I am grateful my parents introduced me to their favorite skincare product: Noxzema!"-Believeinthebest
    • "I started using this about a month ago, and so far I like it. I use it every night and it always leaves my skin feeling fresh and oil-free. I highly recommend it! :)"- Tyler (4-stars)

    All Cosmetics Wholesale Haul!

Hey everyone! I ordered some make-up on July 4th from allcosmeticswholesale.com and received my package July 10th, now i was super impressed with the shipping time because when i placed my order the shipment would be 7-12 days and because i ordered my items late at night on Thursday it actually wouldn't be together until that Friday and shipped on Monday. So i was really impressed with the shipment time, however my package was ripped and torn when i got it (which i am not sure if it was the companies fault or the post office's fault-I'm pretty sure it was the post office though). Overall i am really impressed with the company, i love that the products are really discounted and some items are discontinued, shipping price isn't outrageous like a lot of companies, and customer service was spectacular as well! I only ordered a few items because i didn't know how amazing this company would actually be so here is what i ordered!

    • Mary-Kate & Ashley Juicy Shine Lipgloss in Cool Mint-I'm pretty sure that this is a discontinued product but it's really nice actually! This is a clear lipgloss that gives a tingly feel to the lips and a nice scent of peppermint. ($1.50)

    • Palladio Herbal Eye Shadow in Nude Sparkle- i haven't heard much about this brand and the reason i picked this was because its a nice champagne color and was sparkly (so pretty much everything i look for in an eyeshadow) and because it something we don't hear about so it would be fun to review a product that not many people talk about! (Org. $8.00, purchased for $1.99)

    • Wet 'n' Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio in Silent Treatment, Walking on Eggshells, and Sweet as Candy- We all know about these, if you like makeup I'm sure you have some of these trios in your collection. (Org. $2.99, purchased for $1.49)

    • Wet 'n' Wild Coloricon Blush in Pearlescent Pink- Again, another product we all know about and I'm sure its in every ones collection!(Org. $2.99, purchased for $1.29)

    • Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine Lipstick in Fling- I haven't heard much about these but I'll tell you, this is a pretty amazing product and i think it has potential to become a favorite! (Org. $2.24, purchased for $0.79)

I will have full reviews on all the products in a later post but i hope you all enjoyed this haul and the short reviews as well! I look forward to reviewing these products fully and i hope you all take a look at allcosmeticswholesale.com (i highly recommend!) to see what products you might be interested in! This was an estimated $23.74 purchase at full prices and i spent only about $17 for the purchase (including shipping), WHAT A DEAL!

    Dove Deep Moisture Review!

Hey guys! I hope you all have been having a wonderful week! Today i thought i would do a brief review on one of my holy grail products- Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash! Yes i know we all know im in love with this product, but i know many people want to know if the product is worth the price. Dove's description of this product is "Dove® Deep Moisture Body Wash with NutriumMoisture® features 100% natural moisturizers that can absorb completely to nourish skin deep down. Plus, an improved formula gives your skin the proven best care: our gentlest cleansers ever, a rich lather and a clean rinse to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth." I purchased a twin pack because a 24 ounce is about $8 and 32 ounces for 2 smaller, easy to hold bottles is the same price and most logical to get.

With this product a little does go a long way so a bottle of this will last me a month and a half to 2 months minimum. I discovered this product about a year ago and my boyfriend was rubbing my arms and asked what did i bathe with or what lotion did i use, i told him this product was what i was using (because i dont often use a lotion) and asked why, he replied "you are so smooth and soft". Now if thats nothing to change your mind then please continue reading...

I love this body wash it feels incredible to my skin, its improved my skin from having dry and rough elbows, knees, and feet to having soft and smooth elbows and knees (it has helped my feet on massive levels but my feet are still rough and dry). I do believe that this body wash does nourish skin deep down and i do agree that it is gentle and lathers nicely. I used to have to use "certain" washes for "certain" areas but this body wash is so gentle that i don't find it neccessary to use those different washes for those different areas anymore. The lather of this is nicely rich and i don't have any problems for lathering this body wash. It smells clean kinda like a bar of soap without any scents, and i do find that to be nice because i dont have to worry about scents clashing with eachother.

I'd like for you to read a few comments from the Dove website:

    • "My dry skin feels so much better after using this product. Since I have started using Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash I have been able to cut back on using layer upon layer of Eucerin Calming Creme. I have been able to cut back to apply calming creme two or more times a day. My body feels so much better."-GoBeautyFinish
  • "After I had breast surgery, it was suggested that I use Dove w/Nutrium. I had almost 400 stitches so you can imagine how itchy and fragile my skin was... I used the Dove and will NEVER use anything else! I am hooked on the fresh clean smell and I just love that my skin is soft and smooth!!"-BJMP
  • "I have very dry, sensitive skin on my legs. I have been searching for something that would help with this problem. Dove Deep Moisture was the answer to my problem! The very first time I used it I notice a difference. My skin felt so soft. The next day, they still felt good. The rest of my body felt great as well! I am definitely sticking with Dove for now on!"-DaniG
  • "I have been using Dove body wash for the past few years and this new formulation is still good, probably the best in its class. But I am not a fan of the new scent. The previous scent was more refined, classic, and memorable. It made me feel like I was using something that has stood the test of time, something I could trust with my skin. The new fomulation smells like a shampoo that has just gotten to market. It smells a bit amateurish and forgettable. Another thing I don't completely dig, very minor though, is the new description they use on the back of the package. It used to say something like "Here's the story of beautiful skin in one word: moisture." Now it says a bunch of stuff about Nutrium-something. Again, for a me, less memorable and a step backwards in branding. Other than this, the product is still good. Leaves my skin soft and moisturized."- Unimpressed
  • "I have been using Dove Body Wash for several years now. Its the only wash that my body (any parts of it) has not reacted to negitively. I absolutely LOVE this product and would recommend it to ANYone! Something I've noticed also is, I don't have to rub it off! Just put water on it and its gone... true cleaning without effort. That sounds silly but its important. If I don't have to rub it off...its not staying on my skin forever! I love, love, love this product!!!"-CaliffJJ
  • "I've been using Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash for 5+ yrs now and have never encountered a problem. The product has been recently changed and "improved." The body wash is more of a watery consistency than before. Since I have been using the "new" and improved version, my skin has also broken out in acne (my body has never broken out in acne!). Very disappointed in this product!"-rusty Response from DoveDove, Dove Team January 10, 2013 "We're sorry to hear you had this experience with our product. Please email us at consumer.services@unilever.com so we can help. Thank you!"

Softlips Coral Gloss SPF 10 review

Hey guys! In a recent haul I purchased the Softlips Coral Gloss, and instead of doing a review on the haul i decided to do short, individual reviews on each product for a blog post! Now i saw this in the Dollar Tree (you know the place where everything is a dollar!) and i was curious to try this because i adore the lip balms from this brand. There are 2 shades in these glosses, Coral and Pearl. This is claimed to be a lip protectant and sunscreen with a SPF of 10 (which is wonderful). It also says that this is sheer and shiny with the right touch of playful color, Softlips Coral Gloss makes it easy to be a trendsetter!

Here is a swatch of the gloss. I really do like this! It gives a nice tint to your lips, which is great if your scared of color. Also i am really impressed with the moisturization of this product, as well as the feel itself. It isn't sticky feeling at all, but i can tell there is a stickiness to it because it last on my lips for about 2 hours.
Final Thoughts: I am a big fan of the Softlips brand, i have never not been impressed with a product from the brand. I really like that this lip gloss is moisturizing and it isn't sticky, and i love the color! I also like that this was only $1

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post, I want to apologize for the inconsistency of post, I have had my hands full lately and I post when I can. Also I want to apologize for the photos- my camera was having a bad day so I had to work with what I had. XOXO, Kayla!

      Haul!

Hey guys! I went shopping for the 4th of July and got some products to try and review. I got great feed back from my last haul and this time was excited for another so i could review more for my blog and for Influenster! I went to Walmart and Dollartree, and was recently sent some products from Milani! So lets begin...

      Milani

(From Left to Right): Milani Runway Lashes in Black
Milani Eyeshadow Primer (a June favorite!)

      Dollar Tree

      (From left to right):
Milani Color Perfect Lipstick in Frosted Pink (08)

Pure Silk Moisturizing Shave Cream in Raspberry Mist

      Softlips Coral Gloss SPF 10

      Walmart

      (From Left to Right)

Holy Bible Giant Print and Referance: I go to church every chance i get and im blind as a bat, my dad had this bible for himself and i used it at church because i could actually read it. This bible breaks down every book in the bible at the beginning of the book, it gives a referance for different books that go into a further detail and the font size is 12. The only complant i have is that the cover on the Bible is cheaply made and tears so easy.

Dove Deep Moisture body wash (2 pack): This is my absoulute favorite body wash it just smells like soap but it moisturizes my skin so well, and i LOVE it!

      Equate Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Nail Polish in Coral Reef

Noxzema Orginal Deep Clean Formula Face Wash

      Reach Toothbrush

      Baptism Gifts
I got Baptized June 30th and a few of my family members and family friends came many miles to be there for me, my brother, my daddy, and my brothers friend. It wasn't nessary for a gift but we appricated our gifts. And i have no clue where they purchased these gifts at but they are precious!
      (from top to bottom)
I Am Second Rubber Braclet: For those of you who don't know this braclet means God is first and everyone else is second, i actually didn't know what it meant until my cousin Emily told me about it and i thought it was precious!

Cross Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings: I adore these, i have been wanting a pair and couldn't find a dangly pair and i am so happy i got these! (Not to just find a matching braclet and necklace)

      (Not Pictured) Bible Verse Cup

So i hope you guys enjoyed this little haul, i will have another haul pretty soon (Hint, hint!). Hope you all have a wonderful day! Xoxo, Kayla

Also in my favorites this month i didnt talk about my favorite tv shows. I finished H20 and adored it and i am so sad its over! I loved it so so so so so much! Also i have been catching up on Pretty Little Liars on Netflix and am loving it as well!

      June Favorites!

(I was Baptized this past Sunday, June 30th of 2013)

Hey guys! I know I'm late with my favorites again this month but better late than never, right?! I don't have many favorites this month but I have a few. I have tried out much this month, and really haven't worn much make up because I just don't get out of the house very often. So with nothing further to say, shall we begin?
Equate Refreshing Apricot Scrub! This is like St. Ives Invigorating Scrub, its not a dupe because the formulation is much harsher than the St. Ives Scrub. The particles are much larger and I like that a lot. My face has been really dry and has had a lot of dry, rough spots and rough spots are one thing I hate, so having a harsher scrub to scrub it away is really great. I would repurchase this product considering I've used the whole thing up, however I got the Equate Blemish and Blackhead version this time because my skin is breaking out really bad right now and I figure... a new product perfect for my blog!

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer! As we know last month I was really looking for a new moisturizer, I got the Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture Moisturizer and I really wasn't too impressed with it but because it was $13 I've been using it over Clean & Clear. The Clean & Clear Moisturizer is my perfect moisturizer but for this month I have really loved it! It's thick, but light-weight and it has salicylic acid in it to help control my acne.

Secret Scent Expressions in Pasion  de Tango! I have went threw so many Secret Scent Expressions over the years, its my go to deodorant because it works well for me. This is the third scent I've tried from this line (Cocoa Butter Kiss and Truth or Pear), and I really like this scent for summer but I will also like it year round because I like this scent so much!

Colgate Total Clean Mint Toothpaste! I have gone threw about 4 tubes of this! I have Gingivitis and my dentist recommended this to me over another toothpaste I was using for Gingivitis, I tried it sometime last year and loved it! It lathers in my mouth easily and effectively, it tastes great, and it leaves my breath fresh hours after I've brushed! It is just overall a great toothpaste and I will only use this toothpaste for now on.

Epsom Salt! I have been loving this, I have tummy problems and I often have sore muscles and this is a great fix for both! I love to relax in a nice warm bath and this is just nice way to top off my bath!

Bodycology Nourishing Body Cream! Usually I go for the Bath and Body Works Body Creams, but because I don't have a Bath and Body Works near me, this was my fast fix and I really like these, especially on my elbows and my knees where I am especially dry- And they smell great! I got a few this past Christmas in a travel-sized gift set and I keep them in my purse.

Refresh Eyedrops! Okay, lets just be honest I have dry eyes, and my tears produce from the bottom of my eyes instead of from the top of my eyes. My eye doctor recommended these after she saw that my tears don't produce correctly. My eyes get dry and itchy and this month especially... these have been a life saver!

Milani Eyeshadow Primer! Since I've been into beauty, I haven't found an Eyeshadow primer that was good enough for me. I was recently sent this primer and instantly knew I liked it. It keeps my shadow on all day and it doesn't crease at all. Color is like Urban Decay Primer Potion, but the formulation is a lot different (I really do not like Primer Potion). It is a new product and I recommend you try it out!

Forever Sunshine! This was reviewed in my Perfume Collection and is one of my favorite perfumes I have been wearing this non-stop this month, I just really, really, really like it. It smells like Summer and warmth.

High Low Dresses! I bought a few of these about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I adore them! They are easy to throw on and look great with a bun or curled hair, accessorized or un-accessorized, with heels or sandals!

My Puppy! I got a new puppy her name is Cuddles, I will have a picture inserted very soon! I don't know her mix but she is just precious and very cuddly (hints the name).

I hope you all enjoyed! XOXO, Kayla!
